FLX Account Executive (Regular/Fulltime) - WJBK-TV (Detroit)
FOX2 Detroit is a leader in digital video content, offering cutting-edge streaming solutions through our FLX platform. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our team and drive digital video revenue growth.
Position Overview:
The Account Executive will play a crucial role in generating, retaining, and expanding digital video revenue for our FLX streaming platform. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in digital sales and marketing, who can effectively engage new advertisers and maintain robust client relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the General Sales Manager and Regional Digital Sales Manager to meet budgeted revenue
goals.
• Identify and research potential accounts to source new sales opportunities.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline of qualified clients for FLX.|
• Present FLX to clients and prospects, ensuring a consistent market presence.|
• Stay informed on competitive offerings and industry trends.
• Serve as a digital consultant to agencies and direct clients.
• Steward client campaigns, develop impactful campaign recaps, and provide optimization recommendations.
• Foster positive working relationships with the Insights, Ad-Ops, Creative Services, support staff, and finance teams.
• Ability to travel within assigned territory: State of Michigan/State of Ohio/Toronto, CA
Requirements:
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory: Michigan, Ohio, Toronto, CA.
• Proven digital sales or marketing experience with a self-motivated drive to succeed.
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort in a metrics and results-driven sales culture, with strong presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Wide Orbit Traffic is a plus.
• Preferred experience in Digital Video Advertising, Digital Agency, or Digital Publisher roles.
• Established streaming relationships and ability to make an immediate impact.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and passport required.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of successful experience in the digital media industry, with a focus on Digital Video Advertising, Digital Agency, or Digital Publisher roles.
• Broadcast and digital sales experience preferred.
Preferred Skills:
• Existing relationships with senior-level client and/or agency decision-makers.
• Digital Agency relationships.
• Knowledge of political and Tier 2 & 3 automotive categories.
