MK Technical is growing once again. We are adding a Regional Field Engineer for Alabama, based at our home office in metro Birmingham. Come join our team to work with some of the best people in the industry! You'll be part of our Alabama engineering team, assist in managing and caring for engineering maintenance clients, plan and execute projects locally and be part of studio and transmitter integration projects nationwide. We offer a rotating on-call schedule, flexible scheduling, and comp time. You'll also get lots of support, flexibility - and have a lot of fun too!

Duties will include installation, maintenance and repair of studio, transmitter and ancillary equipment in order to maintain competitive signals while complying with FCC & FAA technical requirements. You will also learn about and help support our MaxxKonnect Wireless products lines, as well as our other MK Broadcast and Logitek products.

Responsibilities:

* Maintains station operations through preventative and corrective maintenance.

* Professional communication with clients and client managers.

* Support, troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of transmitters, remote controls, antennas, coaxial switching equipment, AOIP and analog studio equipment, basic IT infrastructure and audio codecs and remote delivery systems.

* Compliance with FCC rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

* The ideal candidate will have experience with AM & FM broadcast station support, broadcast equipment technical support or IT technical support. 3+ years of experience desired, but not required.

* Willingness to learn is a must. We will train to help you advance.

* Team oriented. We all succeed together!

* Must be service oriented, a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required while interacting clients and management.

* Must be able to lift 50lbs.

* SBE Certification preferred but not required.

* Must possess valid driver’s license and provide required proof of personal vehicle insurance.
